Wellness Coaching

What is Wellness Coaching

Wellness coaching is a supportive, goal-focused process that helps people build healthier habits and improve their overall well-being. A wellness coach works with someone to identify what “wellness” means to them and then helps them make realistic, sustainable changes.

What a Wellness Coach Does

  • Helps you set personal health goals (physical, mental, emotional, social, or lifestyle-related)
  • Supports behavior change, like improving sleep, managing stress, staying active, or eating better
  • Uses conversation, reflection, and motivation, not orders or medical treatment
  • Encourages self-awareness and accountability

What Wellness Coaching is NOT

  • Not therapy or counseling
  • Not medical advice or diagnosis
  • Not someone who tells you exactly what to do

Common Areas of Focus for Wellness Coaching

  • Stress management and mental well-being
  • Healthy routines (sleep, movement, time management)
  • Nutrition habits (without prescribing diets)
  • Confidence, motivation, and balance
  • School-life or work-life balance

How Coaching Sessions Work

  • One-on-one virtual conversations
  • Goal setting and check-ins
  • Reflection on what’s working and what’s not
  • Adjusting strategies over time

Meet Our Wellness Coach

Deborah Clark

Deborah began her professional career as a mental health counselor, supporting individuals and families coping with all of life's challenges. Her work has always been grounded in the belief that people carry the capacity for healing within themselves—and that sometimes guidance is needed to access it.

She later spent 19 years in the nonprofit sector, channeling her passion for community impact into developing solutions that support New Hampshire’s communities. During this time, Deborah spearheaded NH Gives, the state’s first and only statewide day of giving, leading the initiative for 10 years.

Today, Deborah focuses on overall wellness coaching, with a special passion for supporting women as they transition into and through menopause. She believes this stage of life can be deeply empowering when women understand what is happening in their bodies and are given the right tools to support their health and well-being.
